How Parts Work (IFS-Informed) Therapy Can Help You

Understand and Support Protective Parts

Explore how parts like the inner critic, overachiever, or avoider are trying to help, so they don’t have to run the show anymore.

Heal the Wounded Inner Child

Gently connect with younger, hurt parts of yourself that carry pain, shame, or unmet needs, so they can feel safe and seen.

Lead with Self-Energy

Cultivate curiosity, calm, and compassion within yourself, so your choices are no longer driven by fear, guilt, or reactivity.

You Feel Pulled in Different Directions—and All of Them Are You

You might show up strong, capable, and calm on the outside, but inside there’s a storm. One part of you wants to rest, while another pushes through at all costs. One part feels angry or numb, and another shames you for not keeping it together. It’s exhausting trying to manage all these voices alone.

As a helper, you’ve likely developed protective parts (ones that work hard, keep you in control, or shut down your feelings) because you had to. But now, those same parts might be blocking your ability to connect, rest, or trust others.

Parts work gives space for all of these parts—not to fix or silence them, but to understand them. Together, we’ll build relationships with your inner system so you can lead your life from a place of self-compassion, not inner chaos.

What Is Parts Work Therapy?

Parts work (inspired by Internal Family Systems, or IFS) is a trauma-informed approach that honors the idea that we are made up of many parts, each with its own feelings, beliefs, and purpose. Some parts try to protect you from pain. Others hold the wounds of past experiences. And at your core is your Self—a calm, compassionate leader that can help heal your inner system.

Rather than labeling your thoughts or behaviors as wrong, parts work invites us to get curious. Why does this part feel so anxious? What is this part afraid might happen if you rest? What does this part need to feel safe?

Together, we create a compassionate space where even the most reactive or shut-down parts can soften. You don’t have to fight against yourself anymore; you can build a relationship with yourself that feels steady, kind, and whole.

Sky with scattered clouds and sunlight

If you feel like you’re constantly at war with yourself—part of you wants to rest, part of you won’t let you; part of you wants to ask for help, another part says you don’t deserve it—you’re not broken. These inner conflicts are often the result of trauma, and they make perfect sense.

That’s exactly why I created this space… to support helpers like you who are tired of feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck. I specialize in working with first responders, nurses, teachers, and caregivers who have faced trauma and need a compassionate, gentle approach to healing.

With parts work, we’ll get to know the different aspects of your inner world and offer each one compassion. Healing means bringing those parts into harmony, not fighting them. This is a judgment-free zone where your whole self matters, not just your professional role. I’ll be here with you every step of the way.
